Retail Assistant (Dry)

The Picker is responsible for accurately selecting, checking, and preparing customer orders for delivery, ensuring products are picked correctly, packed safely, and ready for timely dispatch within 20 mins.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and collect products according to customer orders and picking lists.
• Check product descriptions, quantities, sizes, and expiry dates where applicable.
• Ensure picked items are in good condition and meet quality standards.
• Pack and label orders correctly for delivery.
• Organize completed orders in the designated dispatch area.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper organization of the picking and storage areas.
• Report missing, damaged, or incorrect items to the supervisor.
• Follow company procedures for inventory handling, food safety, and workplace safety.
• Work efficiently to meet daily order and delivery deadlines.
• Perform other Retail Assistant role in Food and Nonfood department, wherever the need arises.

Requirements

• Minimum secondary education or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in warehouse, picking, packing, or delivery operations is an advantage.
• Able to accurately pick and prepare customer orders according to order lists or instructions.
• Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and move items as required.
• Good attention to detail to ensure the correct items and quantities are picked.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily order deadlines.
• Responsible, punctual, and reliable.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic communication and reading skills.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Familiarity with handheld scanners, inventory systems, or delivery apps is an advantage.
• Must follow workplace safety, hygiene, and company procedures at all times.
