About Traveloka

Traveloka is Southeast Asia's leading travel and lifestyle super-app. We connect tens of millions of travellers across the region with flights, hotels, experiences, financial services, and more - all from a single platform. Since our founding in 2012, we have expanded to eleven markets, processed billions of dollars in transactions, and built one of the most recognised consumer brands in the region.

We move fast because the region demands it. Southeast Asia is young, mobile-first, and growing faster than almost anywhere else on earth. We are not transplanting a Western playbook - we are writing a new one, from scratch, for a market that does not look like anywhere else - and we are calling for people who want to be part of that.

About the Team

Payments is the platform every Traveloka transaction runs through - and the commercial side is where that platform turns into lasting partnerships with the institutions that make regional payments work. You will shape how millions of travellers across Southeast Asia pay: the cards, wallets, bank rails, and pay-later options that fit each of our markets, no two of which behave the same way. This is product and partnership work where the agreement you negotiate and the experience you ship are the same problem.

You will build and steward relationships with banks, networks, and fintech players - understanding their priorities as closely as our own - and translate that collaboration into payment products people actually choose at checkout. You think in unit economics and conversion rates as fluently as in partner roadmaps and mutual value. If you want to build durable, win-win partnerships around a system the whole company depends on, this is where you do it.

About the Job

As a Senior Lead on the Payment team, you are the deepest individual-contributor authority on a complex set of payment partnerships spanning markets and partner types. You influence payment strategy well beyond your own remit, without managing a team.

  • Own the health of a broad payment partnership portfolio across multiple markets and segments as an expert IC, shaping terms, incentives, and partner mix collaboratively for the relationships you own
  • Shape Traveloka's payment cost and partnership approach alongside product and finance leadership
  • Steward our most critical relationships - leading negotiations with major banks, schemes, and fintechs toward agreements that work for both sides
  • Build the analytical and negotiation standards the wider team works to, raising the bar through expertise rather than headcount
  • Influence enterprise decisions on payment methods, pricing, and partner mix using rigorous, jointly-grounded analysis
  • Drive operational excellence in partnership execution so payments launch faster, perform better, and cost less to run
  • Represent Traveloka as a senior payments voice with partners, regulators, and the industry - building trust as much as driving terms

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an MBA or relevant Master's is a plus
  • At least 10 years of experience in payments, fintech, or strategic partnerships, with a track record as a senior advisor or subject-matter expert who combines deep payment product knowledge with structuring complex, multi-stakeholder agreements
  • A strong track record of owning large payment partnership portfolios and the cost and value impact behind them
  • Ability to shape approach across markets and align product and finance behind it through influence, not authority
  • Ability to set the analytical and negotiation standard others follow, deepening capability through your expertise
  • Skill negotiating and building consensus at the most senior levels, both internally and with major partners
  • Rigorous reasoning about payment economics, using data and AI to inform joint decisions at scale
  • Autonomy and sound judgment in ambiguous, fast-moving markets, with no team to manage
  • Clarity and authority communicating in English; regional language ability is a strong plus
  • Personal experience building and managing a payments partnership portfolio across several Southeast Asian markets
  • Experience structuring landmark, mutually-beneficial partnerships with tier-one banks, card networks, or wallet platforms
  • A track record of shaping enterprise payment-cost or monetisation strategy through collaborative partner engagement, with measurable impact
