The role
What you'll do
- Install, configure, deploy and harden computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, video conferencing and scanners
- Maintain proper records of support and service work
- Build up technical know-how on problem solving via structured knowledge transfer and experience from field issues
- Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
- Ensure all issues are properly logged
- Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
- Follow up with end-users to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
- Document technical knowledge and SOP in the form of notes and manuals
- Coordinate and execute assigned IT project activities or tasks to ensure they are completed on time and on target
- Support initiatives to improve compliance processes through automation and digitalization.
- Manage inventory records of hardware, equipment, software
- Manage stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies
- Support the team lead and perform the role to the satisfaction of relevant stakeholders
Requirement
- Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
- Familiarity with IT system hardening and patching, vulnerability assessments, compliance requirements, and IT security best practices will be preferred
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows OS / O365 environment
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and strong troubleshoot skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security or relevant field
- Additional certification in Microsoft, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus
- Able to support and communicate with customers in a professional manner
- Good understanding on general IT infrastructure and administration
