About the job

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Lead with strong, hands-on expertise in React.js and backend development using Node.js and/or.NET, along with solid knowledge of REST APIs and cloud environments. As a Full Stack Lead, you will lead a team of developers, oversee the technical aspects of projects, and ensure the successful design, development, and deployment of robust, scalable web applications leveraging cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development team in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance, and secure applications, with strong hands-on expertise in React.js for front-end development and Node.js and/or.NET for backend services.
• Design and implement responsive, intuitive, and user-friendly front-end interfaces using React.js, ensuring code quality, maintainability, performance, and a consistent user experience.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of backend services using Node.js and/or.NET, ensuring scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers, participating in technical discussions, presentations, solution walkthroughs, and product demonstrations.
• Understand customer business needs and translate them into practical, scalable, and effective technical solutions in collaboration with project and delivery teams.
• Ensure seamless integration between React-based front-end interfaces and backend services through RESTful APIs.
• Oversee application deployment to cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Identify and implement improvements to application performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across front-end, backend, and cloud environments.
• Work closely with project managers, business analysts, designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.
• Conduct and lead code reviews, enforce coding standards and best practices, and ensure the development of maintainable, secure, and scalable solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across the full stack, including React front-end applications, backend services, API integrations, and cloud deployments.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and guidance to developers, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, and pursue relevant technical certifications and continuous learning to strengthen technical capabilities.

Requirement and Qualification

• Minimum 5 years of experience in full-stack development, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership or team leadership role.
• Strong, hands-on proficiency in React.js is mandatory, including component-based development, state management, hooks, and building responsive user interfaces.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and/or.NET for backend development.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, development and integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform is an advantage.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, coding standards, performance optimization and application security.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage customers, understand business requirements and present technical solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business and functional requirements into technical designs, architecture and development tasks.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and guide developers while maintaining code quality and delivery standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile development environment.
• Willingness to continuously learn new technologies and obtain relevant technical certifications as required by the business.

Security Requirement (Mandatory)

This role involves work on Singapore Government projects. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Singapore and must be eligible for the required security clearance. Appointment to this role is subject to successful completion of all security vetting and clearance requirements.

Eligibility Requirement

This is an on-site role based in Singapore and is part of the IMDA Company-Led Training (CLT) Programme. Only Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents are eligible to apply. Candidates who require any form of work pass sponsorship will not be considered.
