About the team

The Account, Interaction and Search Safety Team is a lean, agile team dedicated to safeguarding across Account, Search, Comments and Messages. Our mission is to adapt quickly and respond effectively to the evolving demands of platform safety. By streamlining workflows and establishing efficient operational processes, we prioritize rapid problem-solving to support moderation efforts and provide seamless cross-team collaboration to address safety concerns proactively.

We serve as the primary team for evaluating safety metrics and assessing the performance of both human moderation and machine-driven systems, ensuring that our safety standards remain robust and impactful. Working closely with frontline teams, we bring policies to life by providing ongoing guidance and operational support that aligns with our strategic business objectives. Through strong partnerships with Product, Operations, Data Science, Policy, Algorithm, and front-line teams, we leverage diverse expertise to tackle safety challenges unique to user accounts and interactions.

With a commitment to data-driven improvement, we have developed a comprehensive metrics system to evaluate operational effectiveness, including moderation efficiency, quality metrics, and machine performance. Responsibilities

1. Reporting & Dashboard Management

- Develop, maintain, and enhance operational dashboards and reports to track safety performance across Account, Search, and Interaction domains.

- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of recurring and ad-hoc reports for stakeholders.

- Support the standardization of metrics and reporting structures across teams.

2. Data Analysis & Insight Generation

- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance gaps.

- Translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for stakeholders.

- Support deep-dive analyses to investigate issues and inform business decisions.

- Apply AI tools to automate analytical workflows and lift team productivity.

3. Metrics Tracking & Performance Monitoring

- Track and monitor key safety metrics (e.g., quality, efficiency, moderation/model performance).

- Assist in defining KPIs and ensuring alignment with business goals.

- Proactively flag risks and performance issues based on data trends.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Partner with Product, Engineering, Policy, and Operations teams to support reporting and analytics needs.

- Contribute to aligning data definitions, metrics, and reporting requirements across stakeholders.

- Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

5. Reporting Optimization & Data Quality

- Support improvements in reporting processes, tools, and automation.

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through validation and quality checks.

- Maintain documentation for metrics, dashboards, and reporting methodologies.
